Dr. Mark Olsen
Dr. Mark Olsen was born and raised in Orange County California. He became interested in podiatric medicine at an early age from a close family friend. He started his studies in Southern California and finished up at Arizona State University. Dr. Olsen attended the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in the new state of the art facility in Independence, Ohio.
After completing his studies in Ohio he attended a 3-year surgical residency program at the only residency program in Orange County California at Fountain Valley Regional Hospital and Medical Center. He was one of the first podiatrists in the country to receive the accreditation in reconstructive rearfoot/ankle surgery upon residency completion.
Dr Olsen is committed to serving this community and understands the importance of educating patients on conditions as well as specific treatment plans for his patients needs. He is dedicated to pursuing the latest medical and surgical procedures in order to give his patients the care and attention they deserve.
Dr. Olsen is very excited to be a part of Arcadia Foot & Ankle, P.C. He currently spends his free time enjoying the Arizona sunshine and spending time with his family. Dr. Olsen is married to Stacey and they are proud parents of 3 children, Molly age 10, Lee age 7, and Ginger age 4.
Dr. Nathan Plaskey
Dr. Nathan Plaskey completed his undergraduate degree in Biomedical Sciences at Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Michigan. Dr. Nathan Plaskey attended podiatric medical school in Independence, OH attending Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine formally known as Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine, graduating in 2013. He then completed an intensive three-year podiatric medical and surgical residency at Beaumont Healthcare Hospital in Wayne, MI.
Dr. Plaskey had a rigorous podiatric medical and surgical residency which included a wide variety of conservative treatment as well as surgical intervention for the following: diabetic foot care, bunion deformity, hammertoe deformity, neuroma removal, arthritic joints which consisted of fusion or implant placement, ankle fractures, metatarsal fractures, flat foot reconstruction, calcaneal and talar fractures, plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendon ruptures, equinus as well as office procedures such as partial nail avulsions, injections and bracing/orthotics.
He is very passionate about patient satisfaction and the outcomes of his surgical procedures. Dr. Plaskey takes the time to make sure the patient’s questions and concerns are addressed fully before leaving the office. He was trained to treat a variety of patient demographics including pediatric, adults and the geriatric community.
Dr. Plaskey is a member of American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, Arizona Podiatric Medical Association and American Podiatric Medical Association.
Dr. Plaskey has many affiliations with hospitals and surgical centers throughout Mesa and Phoenix area.
Dr. Lauren Wurster
Dr. Lauren Wurster is a Chicago-area native who now calls Arizona her home. While growing up in Illinois, Dr. Wurster spent her time dancing competitively. It was through this activity that she developed her passion to help people get back to their life’s activities through medicine. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana, and received her Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine from Des Moines University in Iowa.
Dr. Wurster completed her 3 year foot and ankle surgical residency at Dignity Health- St. Mary’s Medical Center in San Francisco, CA, where she served as chief resident of the program in her final year. Over the course of 3 years, she had extensive podiatric training in biomechanical evaluation and conservative and surgical intervention of foot and ankle fractures, Achilles tendon injuries, bunions, hammertoes, plantar fasciitis, pediatric and adult flat foot, diabetic limb salvage, foot and ankle arthritis, sports medicine injuries, and pediatric foot care. She is currently board qualified in foot and rearfoot surgery and board certified in podiatric medicine.
Dr. Wurster’s goal as a foot and ankle specialist is to provide excellent and ethical care to all of her patients. She is excited for the opportunity to treat your foot and ankle ailments and help you accomplish your mobility goals through a surgical or non-surgical treatment plan that best meets your individual needs.
Shelli Moosbrugger: Practice Manager. As a native of Arizona and alumni of ASU, Shelli joined Arcadia Foot & Ankle in March 2009. Shelli loves working at Arcadia Foot & Ankle because “Dr. Olsen and Dr. Plaskey are dedicated doctors who are committed to the excellent care of their patients." Gerardina Favela Gee: Phoenix Medical Assistant. Born in Sonora Mexico, Gerardina has lived in Arizona since 1978 and is fluent in Spanish. Gerardina has worked in the Podiatric field for over 14 years and joined Arcadia Foot & Ankle in March 2014. She enjoys helping to make your feet feel good! Â“ Me gusta hacerle sentir bien sus pies!
Coleen Snider: Surgery Scheduler. Coleen an Arizona native has worked in the Podiatric field for 20 years, formerly with Dr. McKay before joining the team at Arcadia Foot and Ankle. Coleen is here to make sure your surgery needs are met and you have a pleasant experience.
Ann Hazelgren: Front Office - MA Mesa. Born in Utah, Ann has lived in Arizona since 2011. Ann joined Arcadia Foot and Ankle in 2017 and is here to make sure your check in and visit goes smoothly at the Mesa office.
